Saturday mornings hunt with my dad, Rommel, was my first outing turkey hunting. I can't believe how much fun that is. Just the calling and getting those gobblers to be vocal was quite a treat. I've gotta feelin' I will be doing this a little more.
Also, I would like to thank my guide/dad for calling in those birds.

Finally got my chance yesterday, been working alot of birds since opening day. I think the hens are finally sitting, got this longbeard in about 8:00 yesterday morning. There was another with him, came in quiet, didn't see him till I shot this one. Maybe it will hang around till next year. Vital's: 21 lbs, 10 1/2"+++ beard, 1 1/8" spurs and a beautiful fan.

Va bird, mountain property. I would like to hunt my dad's property in St Mary's, but I don't think there is a whole lot of birds around his property. I fish out of his place and have been up at the crack of dawn, never heard a gobble or seen a bird on his property.

Bowtech hunts transvestites!!!!!! ;D
That's pretty cool. I'd have to shoot one if it walked in front of me, too, just to say I'd gotten one. Only know one other guy who's actually shot one, although I think I saw one at a distance this spring. Congrats all...

Almost forgot, did you check that hen for eggs?!?!?! When my buddy shot his a few years back he checked when he cleaned it, got two good eggs out of her and there were a few more 'in the system' without shells yet. He said he just HAD to try fried turkey eggs for breakfast!
