Cool pics and awesome deer. Great when they have a history. Good luck on taking him out.

Neat deer. I'd mount him if I got him. Only because of the cool story and the different sightings. Make a great conversation piece. Good luck getting him this month, or maybe finding his sheds near your feeder next month.

Maybe if we let him go this year and put him on a high protien diet he'll look like that big one killed in southern MD during gun season!

Well, haven't seen any signs of this year's sheds, but we found one of last year's while rabbit hunting, had 6 points on one side!! A few more weeks I'm going to look hard for this year's antlers. It's tough at my place, the best bedding areas are in the phrag, and antlers are HARD to see in that stuff!!

Thats a nice looking shed. Lots of mass. Is it chewed up at all?

One little chew mark on the biggest tine as it makes that small fork at the tip, and one break that you can see. It's nice, but his antlers this year were much better.

Man you got the coolest stuff. What do you do with all your antlers/cool stuff you find?

Set it around the house or the hunting shack, although both are getting pretty full! Actually I hope to be selling my house this spring, always been thinking I may build a cabin down on my farm so I hold onto stuff I may want for that. One thing I want for that is all 4 turkeys full mounted on a crossbeam, had my Merriam's full mount done so I can take it off the base if I need to so I can adapt it for that later on. May use some antlers for fixtures or door handles (the cabin I stay in out in ND has a deer antler door handle, I think that's sooo cool!).

Freakhorn is freaky indeed. Perhaps you'll have multiple samples of his horns after this weekend. Good luck!

Whooo-Hoooo!! Didn't have to wait for the weekend! I found the first half today within 15 minutes of hitting the woods, went straight to where I thought he's been bedding. Had the dog along and she found the other half 15 feet away in the phragmites. ;D 7 points on one side, 10 on the other. His left side, 10 points, though not all long enough to score... Right side... And here is this year's left side compared to the shed from last season...he made a big improvement. He'll be 5 1/2 next season, can't wait to see what he looks like!!!

Congratulations! That will make it even better if you get him next year - you could do a mount & incorporate those some how. Also sounds like Evy is getting the hang of it. Maybe now that she found one for real, she'll find you piles of them. I went today at lunch & saw 6 or 7 doe, but no bucks & no sheds

We spent another hour and a half after that in another piece of woods, trying to find the sheds from the big 8 pointer that's running around, but nothing. Tons of beds and sign, but it's thick, a big area and surrounded by marsh. Evy and I will keep looking...
