Good Job Prostreet. If I hadn't been working around the yard and house all day I would have been there to hear it fall!!! Have to get everything around here caught up 'cause I know the Mrs. won't be doing any yard work for the next three weeks. I don't know what's going on with Anne, she might be out of town. She usually returns my emails in a day or two. Hopefully my timing will be right for the rut. I get back on 5 Nov and will be in the woods the following Saturday, then Mon-Wed. I'll be mixing it up between Boyd's and Monococy. Throwing in a little duck hunting in the AM.

I am just glad to finally score so I can get my jerky I have been craving for months! Is your wife ill or she just not a outdoors type of person? If I were you I wouldnt bug Anne to much. Dont want to make her mad and possibly loose a nice spot to hunt trying to help somebody else out. Maybe just wait till the next time you run into her to bring it up. BTW I think there was somebody hunting back by the fields. My dad said he heard an ATV way in the back. I didnt hear it because my ears are really bad.

Remember there is a antlerless season from the 22nd through the 27th with the muzzleloader. Have you ever shot a bow? Its alot of fun and gives you alot more time in the woods. You should try it next year. I think you would enjoy it alot!

Now you need to have a few of your own and have a flock of killing machines.. NO WAY!!! You've got to be out of your mind still from the fever.

Prostreet, on offense but after I pulled myself off the floor from laughing so hard...........No she's not ill (I'll save my judgemental opinion for another forum) and her idea of roughing it is having to stay at a Holiday Inn with no Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus within walking distance. Trust me, I spend a lot of time in the woods for a reason

My father said he could swear he heard a donkey a couple times way off.

I actually used to bow hunt years ago and out grew the bow and never continued to bow hunt. I was planning on picking it back up this year but I bought a new place and time constraints didn't allow me too.

Shot low on a small doe Friday evening. Tracked the blood trail for 10 yards and then nothing. Spent 45 minutes looking for her. Saturday evening missed a decent 8 pointer at 110 yards after watching him walk into about 10 yards (for some reason I just wouldn't shoot left handed and he was watching and snorting at me in the stand the whole time). I just can't shake this monkey off my back. Two years since I've gotten a deer. This is ridiculous...

Congrats Rommel..... do you have any eye relief on that scope!! That doe wouldn't walk out past those limbs would she? Seemed as if she didn't present a good shot even if you wanted to take her?? Anyways....cool video

Anyways....cool video She walked a complete circle around that doe on the ground then went out about 45 yds. and then came back and did it again. She offered plenty of opportunities for a shot and I had reloaded. That scope has plenty of eye relief, I've made head shots at 60 yds. with that Knight rifle before. She was only 20 yds., it was a chip shot really but we were camping and I would have had to butcher both right away because of the expected low of 65 degrees and I didn't have that much ice. It's early in the season and I'll have more chances for does if I need more venison. Besides I think it was more fun filming it to show on here. ;D
