I'm definitely pumped and am taking off Thursday and Friday (put in leave a couple of months ago) and I have a few stands ready to go. I bow hunted one this past weekend and saw two shooters as well as some more does/button bucks. The weather was perfect...quiet and cool. You could hear them coming from a mile away.
I tell you, this is definitely one of my favorite seasons and I decided to dedicate some time to it this year. Lets hope it pays off!

I feel your pain brett, it will get better eventually. I am now trying to figure out how to get my 9 year old in the woods with me and still have a shot at getting a deer. If I can get at least one kid in the woods then my wife can't complain. Just want to make sure it is worth it. Does anyone know of a good ground blind?

They make some good cheap ones, $50-$60. My sister bought me one last year for $40 from Dick's on sale. Just a little too tight to bow hunt out of effectively but perfect for you and a child. I think it is made by Ameristep? Good pattern and easy to set up.

Since I only have ONE of hunting age it would be easier if you took him.

I'm going all three days, but will probably do like normal and try to hunt both sika and whitetail and always be in the wrong spot at any given time! Just looked at the forecast and it looks warm and lotsa chances for precip. Ohhh, I hope the flintlock goes off...
