The plan is to have a pair of them on the wall at the end of the season chootshooter. And maybe the old blue wing too. It all comes down to what number you get in the lottery. Are you felling sick on tuesday Big Fox? Are you going to cook the Bacon, Egg and Cheese again?

Your chances of getting one that pretty in the early season are pretty slim. You'll get the best plumage on 'em in January, but most have gone through by then...

That is one nice looking bird. They look fast.

Wait til later in the year when they are in the mating plummage. During early teal season, they almost look like the females. Even when it gets cold, there are still a fair amount of greenwings in Fishing Bay.

Its all about having the right spot. These birds will decoy if you have a good spot and about two dozen decoy's. Flyby shooting is almost impossible, unless you are skilled like Big Fox. However, if you let them lock up and begin to decoy it like shooting any other duck.

I was out on the marshes today, saw a few dozen flying around with some black ducks mixed in...too far to tell if bluewings or greenwings.
