Just spent 10 days in oswego ny helping columbia gas repair a tranmission line, and those folks up there have their hands full.I have never seen so much snow in my life, and honestly don't ever wanna see that much down here. I wonder what effect it will have on the wildlife if any at all.

I heard about all that snow. I think alot of wildlife will die of starvation or simply not having the strength to find shelter will kill them. The experts say that after the rutting, the fighting, the running from hunters, the deer's body is just so worn down, something like this is the nail in their coffin. Mother nature can be cruel, but thats the way of life. I feel bad to those still with out power. Gonna take a while for all that snow to melt.

I’m sure it will put a slight strain on the population back home. Without a doubt, some of the lean bucks and fawns will die in the incredibly deep snow. There is a myriad of factors that will determine how many suffer but I am more relieved in the fact that the herd numbers were already down equaling less competition for food.
