I heard TONS of birds this morning. Too bad none of them were turkey! Guess there's always next year. It was a beautiful morning, even though I didn't see any turkey. Hope someone had some luck.

Decided to go .Pulled all my stuff out,and figured I'd give it a quick, last chance effort. Got started doing something else, and next thing I know it's 0100. Got to bed and wake up with a start at 0230, thinking that I need to get to work NOW! (Had a time sensitive situation going on). So groggilly head in, FURIOUS that I'm missing the last day. get there and situation is not as critical as I assumed. It would have kept till 0700 or so. Then to COMPLETELY put me over the edge, at 0550, I step outside,at work, and there's a gobbler sounding off! AAAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!! They're teasing me! Oh well, I'll put the stickers on the boat trailer, grease the bearings, and gear up. And the groundhogs had better watch out too!

Over slept this morning, and met buckmaster at 6:00 on my uncles farm. Never heard a peep. The same place 5 birds were going crazy the day before. We didn't hunt too long, made some calls moved arouns and not a peep. Buckmaster left and I stopped to talk to my uncle who was feeding his horses. FIVE minutes later.............BOOM!!!!!!!!!........... Right where we had been calling last. The next farm over I assume, but very close to the property line by the sound of it. I 'll take satisfaction in believing that we called that bird in for a new hunter on the last day and made his season. At least thats what I'll keep telling myself. Turkeys-- 15 Me- ZERO. Till next year.
