Anybody planning on getting one mounted? I have two mounted on limbs and am thinking of getting one done full strut on the ground.

I would really like to, if I get a mature gobbler. The ones I have shot in years past have been jakes. If I get a long beard with a full fan I may consider it. What was the price on your mounts you have now?

I've got one done, a full strut Merriam's gobbler standing on a base in snow. One of my winter birds from out west, cost was $500 last summer.

$500 is a little steep for me. Unless its an albino with ten beards and two fans, I'll probably do a tail mount.

Osprey, that mount looks great. How much space does it take up (i.e., what are the dimensions)? I've always wanted one done.

The first one I had mounted was in 1997 and cost $300. The same guy mounted the next one in 2002 for $350. I can only assume he gets $400 now. My problem is he lives in NY. I will throw the pics on tonight.

This is the one from 97. At the time, the "Competition Head" (Fake) was the hot new thing. It looked great at the time but has really discolored in ten years. This is the 02 bird. 22lbs with a ten inch beard. Not bad for New York. I don't think the picture gives this mount justice because it probably has the best head I have seen on a mount. It is the real freeze dried head.
