Birds are a distinct possibility, but a good story seems like a certainty. Just remember, I always write the truth - as I see it, and once it goes to print it's then a documented fact!!

I know one thing is for certain. You are going to feel like you are choking on your heart right before you squeeze that trigger! I just hope you get a chance to experience that.

Its a beautiuful thing. Every gobble, closer and closer, louder and louder, there's his body, almost in range. NOW NOW squeeze the trigger. Its a beautiful thing. ;D
Saw three toms struting in a field today. I was driving down route 5 in charles county and almost went off the road from trying to get a good look at how long there beards were.

I will say this BIGFOX....I never thought I would really get into turkey hunting. I just never thought it would be that exciting. Thats why it took me so long to go. BUT.....After that first day in the early morning spring woods, just hearing a turkey gobble got my heart to jump out of my chest. It was just as exciting as my first deer hunt! Now I look forward to Turkey season as I do Deer season....You will love it!

I saw a big Tom fly over I-95 yesterday at about 7:20am between 198 and 212 by the large Suntrust bldg(north of the beltway). I couldn't believe my eyes, but it's hard to miss that beard! I had to put my instructional tape in the player and start working with my diaphram call, clucking and purring all the way to Waldorf
