You guys seen this one? I already was looking at them in the catalogs, but just watched the new Primos video of them, pretty neat. I've got a Merriam's fan in the freezer I'm going to use on it when I get one, anxious to see how it'll work.

Have only seen them in the catolog. (My favorie store, Cabelas). Maybe I'll check my on-demand to see if I can check out that Primos video. Was it on cable or did you buy a movie?

I got the new DVD, I think it's Truth 18, at Wallyworld. 2 discs, one is all about the B-mobile, other is hunts with it.

Just purchased one and am going to add to my arsenal. Set up and take down is nice. The tail they give you is not bad, has shine like the real thing when the sun hits it. The only thing I am worried about is the two piece rod, could loose one half. Will probably replace with something else. Looking forward to seeing and hopefully filming the results.

I got one this week, it's looking good. Just gotta get out the glue gun and put together the real tail fan - I saved the bird from North Dakota this past December just for this. I'm calling mine North Dakota Bob. I'm hoping the Toms around here are like the rest of us Eastern Shore natives and come out to give a "ferriner" (foreigners, for those who don't know the lingo) a hard time!

What do you get when you combine a sunny afternoon, a cold beer, a glue gun and a recently thawed Dakota turkey tail? The completion of North Dakota Bob!! Ladies and germs, meet Bob... Let me tell ya, the tail they give you with it looks good, but you GOTTA get a real tail fan to use with it - it looks incredible in the sunlight!!

Wow that does look good. That fan looks very simailar to an eastern. Are there many differences? I can't wait till opening day!!

I think it's more Eastern than anything. There are Easterns and Merriams out there, the ranch is an area kind of on the line where they hybridize quite a bit. Some I've seen out there have bright white tips like Merriam's, some all dark like Easterns, a few sorta inbetween like Rios. This is by far the darkest one I've killed out there, was quite surprised when I opened the tail fan.

I have never used an adult decoy. Even when I use a Jake, big Toms come in cautious. What is your experience using Tom decoys vs. Jakes? I have killed every longbeard that has set eyes on my Jake and two Hen set up since 99. Have you had any males, Jakes or Toms, shy away from a decoy like Bob?

It's getting close to turkey time!! I swear I heard North Dakota Bob spitting and drumming in the living room this morning, he's getting excited. As I just typed that I thought "Gee, now that's proof that I'm single, I keep my turkey decoys in the living room." I love my life!

I just bought that Truth Video today. They didn't have any problem with Jakes coming to it! I would like to see a video with stricly North Eastern hunts on it though. I wounder, are our birds tougher or easier to hunt? Nobody seems to touch our area for hunting videos:(
