Does anyone out there have a sure fire way of tanning hides? I want the hides to be like leather, with the fur on, and flexible. Thanks.

I haven't done it yet, but got two in the freezer so far for later this winter. Been looking at the Van d**e's Taxidermy catalog, probably going to try one of their solution kits. I need to make a sika hair possibles bag to go with my longrifle!

Dave, I might be interested in trying that for a sika as well. Maybe we can split the kit. Of course I've got to get a nice one in the freezer first.

Thanks Nally, their stuff looks pretty good and easy too. I think I'm gonna by the EZ-2000 kit and give that a try.

I've only used the Reinhart Tanning Cream. That is what I use for mounting deer but it does not make it soft.
