Well not really around here............ But anyway I sent my bow off to on monday to crackers in MO after being on his waiting list since last december to get some new custom strings made and get the bow super tuned (crackerized). He is one of if not the best string builder and tuner in the world. People from all over the world send there bows to him. Well anyway I knew I could borrow my old bow from my friend that bought it from me. Yesterday I go grab it and today I shoot it a couple times. I notice a very odd sound and start looking the bow over. Well low and behold both limbs are cracked pretty badly. Now here I am the day before the weather cools down and I have no bow to hunt with till the end of next week maybe a little longer till I get mine back. Thinking I was doing a good thing sending my bow in turned out to be a nightmare.

I'm with JLwade. I have to admit I have done that a couple of times, not with a bow.

You guys crack me up! Thats a good idea though but I would kind of feel bad doing that. I wonder what kind of return policy they have on bows? I uhhhh may just break out my dads old devastator crossbow till my bow comes back.

Don't feel bad! That place sucks! I worked there for two years! It's alright if you do it once and ask for forgiveness!

The only part that would make me feel bad would be taking back a nice new $500 bow that ive been wanting and picking up the old trusty PSE nova that i have now! Either that or lying to my wife and saying i took it back but hiding the new bow in my truck Hmmmm ......i think i have an idea........

And it just keeps pouring on us! I just looked at my father horton legend II and it has 1 limb thats severely cracked. Now he has to use the old devastator and I am back to having no bow again.

Man it cant get any worst, that sucks. Looks like u are headin to DICKS. Actually I have great news! A guy on archerytalk.com sent me a private message and said he is a pro staff shooter for Alpine archery bows and said he would set me up for a couple weeks with one of his bows! He called me and was setting it up for me while I was on the phone. I am going to meet him tomorrow and bring it home and sight it in. I am back in the game now guys! ;D This just may swing my decision on my next bow. I was looking at them on there site and they look awsome. Here is the one I am getting from him. www.alpinearchery.com/Silveradostd.html
