Does anyone know much about Blossom Point? My son has been selected to go on the youth hunt on sat.I heard this place holds alot of deer, what about big deer!We were told it's a 1 deer limit that day. He want's to hold out for a buck.We never hunted Charles co. but it looks great down there.

Well from what i understand they either give you a doe or buck tag and they select your stand location. Their used to be a lot of nice deer down there but they have kind of dissapeared

I know two or three years ago a lady I know showed me a picture of a buck her ten year old shot at bloosom point. A great big eight point. Bigger than any 8 I have shot. She said her son and her boyfriend were on stand an hour before he shot the buck. REALLY nice buck.

Me and my father got selected to hunt in there years ago, I drew a doe tag and he drew a buck tag. We both got our deer in about an hour. The guys putting the operation on drove the deer to us. I had about 20 run right to me. The guys there say they see monsters in there every year.

My wife works at the gov't facility on Blossom Point Rd. She sees quite a few nice deer down there. She always asks me, why I havn't shot anything that comes close to what she see's down there.

Well guy,s all i can say is that we were very dissapointed. We were all pumped up and maybe expecting too much.We hunted from daybreak until they picked us up at 4:30 and saw 1 small doe. We were given a stand that was in a very stupid location for natural deer movement. I wish i could draw you a diagram of the stand placement, but i can't.It's to difficult to explain the location of the stand. When they dropped us off there i told my son i hope they do drives for us or it will be a long day.It was a long day for us,but it's hunting and there's no guarantee in hunting. On a positive note, 8 kids got lucky yesterday. We were told 4 buck and 4 doe. The biggest buck was a 4pt. We only heard about 15 shots all day, from about 30 hunters. Congrats too those lucky kids. We did see a good buck in the morning on our way down there, just outside of Laplata. Also we almost ran into a piebald doe about 2 miles from Blossom Point.Great weather and a great day in the woods.
