Has anyone noticed many acorns on the ground. At my place they are falling, but few and far between. The deer are hitting the corn a little. My persimmon trees are bare. What are they eating? Beans?

Many of the deer on my farm are tearing up the beans while they are still green. I did notice last night while I was mowing one of my fields that were some big fat green acorns up in a good producing white oak. If you have access, I would focus on any agricultural field or food plot. Good luck!

I've noticed yellow beans on the field I have access to, so I'm still not sure exactly where I'm going to go, but I have a good idea.

They have been eating about 50 pounds of corn every three days. I have also noticed acorns on the ground. Not a ton just enough to possable change their feeding paterns.

Every tree in my back yard is white and red oak. Acorns do not look ripe, very green. I notice some on my driveway only when it is windy. Get molasses corn from southern states. 6.45 for a 50lb bag. Not too bad for what I have seen on my corn pile, however they are going through 100 lbs in 4 to 5 days. Just put 100lbs out on friday of last week, went back with 100 more on tuesday and there was little left! Hope to have some left for saturday morning. GOOD LUCK!!

They have been in the corn fields and seen some at the apple trees. Haven't started bait piles yet. Just got the corn picked this week so saved some from that and the geese have found the open fields too. 50 to 75 at a time cleaning the fields. I tried the molasses corn last year and the deer walk by that to get to the plain corn.

I don't bow hunt at the moment, but I just picked up an automatic feeder. I'll start feeding corn on my property until muzzle loader/gun season. In addition to that I have acorns and hickory nuts. I'm not 100% sure they like hickory nuts though, anyone know?
