Hold on tight boys, this one don't look good! Anybody got an extra set of water wings, I'm hoping I'm not swimming in my living room by the middle of it...

It'll be fine. Just high tides and a lot of rain.

Wind just shifted to more westerly an hour ago and it rolled in a foot or two. Hour and a half until high tide for the afternoon and it's already over the sidewalks and yard. Was looking out the window while on the phone with my Dad a few minutes ago and a buck was sneaking along a hedgerow not 60 yards from the house. Tide's got 'em pushed out of their beds. I did think about grabbing the bow and heading him off in the storm, but he wasn't THAT big.

Still here! Been out checking things this morning, looks decent so far. No trees down in yards or lane, tide last night wasn't as high as yesterday, impoundments are full (of rain, not tide!!), had 9.5" of rain so far, still have the one duck blind I can see from the house, not sure about my far point blind (but guy across the river lost his offshore blind, nothing but poles left, glad I was on the lee side of the winds for most of it). Will probably get a good tide this afternoon with the south wind that's blowing today, but think I'll make it through.
I think things got hammered pretty hard down in sika land though, heard plenty of bad tide reports down there. Hope it's not like Isabel down there, after that is when we started seeing sika moved up to north DorCo above Hurlock. After that one some of my marsh spots didn't have a sika in them for almost a year...

Drove around this morning and checked out two of my hunting properties - 60 miles round trip in a big circle and saw 1 downed tree the whole time. No flooded roads either. Haven't lost power yet, so I'd say it wasn't very bad at all.

So far down here I've heard TL Morris seafood on the Trappe side of the Choptank washed down the river, the road to Elliott's Island is washed out and the causeway of the big bridge on Hoopers is washed out. Haven't been around to look at damage myself yet, tide is back up over the yard and still coming up here.
