Have you guys heard about a new price of a hunting license for this year? I have not researched it and figured I would ask just before I put in the time..... Thanks!

LOL, higher license fees, exponentially higher boat reg fees, looking for sales tax ON TOP of gas tax, and on, and on, and on.... So, buy your expensive hunting license, and soon to be $25 Fed duck stamp, top off the truck and boat w/ $3.65 a gal gas to head to the Shore for a little waterfowling, towing your boat with it's now $125 reg fee. Oops, the toll is WHAT at the Bay Bridge? And it's going up again? Riddle me this: Gun and ammo sales have been through the roof since Obama was elected, (NICS keeps breaking records) so Pittman and Robertson monies have increased substantially: you know, EARMARKED funds for the same stated purposes given that the hunting license increase is NEEDED. Keep hearing that the increase in sales is temporary, but no signs of slowing down...

Davep, I pay $4.09 a gallon for fuel in my truck now.... ;D >:(By the way, the smiley DOES NOT MEAN I AM HAPPY! Diesel SHOULD cost less than unleaded gasoline! Didn't know about the ammo sales thing; I have, however, heard of Maryland "borrowing" earmarked funds for other purposes. Suppose this is a prime example of that.

LOL, have a 6.0 PSD myself so know the pain. Been using the wife's car more and more for running around. Boating reg fees, BRF aka 'flush tax", etc have been "borrowed", but hunting license fees and PR and DJ funds MUST be used as directed. Like nalley mentioned in another thread, we MUST have non-consumptive users pay "their fair share" (heehee) as well. Birdwatchers, mtn bikers, equestrians, hikers, etc are ALL riding on OUR dime as far as State lands go. I believe VA has recently done something along those lines.
