First bow kill of the season. I have many trail cam pics of this backyard buck. Went out yesterday evening and was only in stand twenty minutes or so and HELLO there he was. Sounds funny but it is sooo thick with the greenery everywhere they just seem to pop out of anywhere sometimes, lol. He gave me a nice broadside pose in no time and I let one loose. I hit him a little back than would of liked so he went a little ways. He did not leave allot of blood so once it got dark and a little late for I go to work early ( 3:45 AM ) had to mark last spot and went back out this afternoon. As soon as I got home I headed back out and got on the trail to lose it . Then the good old Buzzards let tracked me to him. No meat for my freezer but going to make a European mount . Attachments:

This time of year makes it hard if you you have to trail them far or give them additional time. Glad you were able to find him but that does suck on the meat loss... Nice lil buck though...

Nice buck and that really sucks not finding him right away but it happens to every hunter.

Nice job. Looks a lot like a buck I've seen on my cameras but I doubt he was swimming the Patuxent to get to St. Mary's.
