Can't wait to get in my blind to go after a nice buck that's been visiting recently but know the skeeters are going to be swarming. Anybody use anything that is proven not to spook the deer if they get a whiff of it? Didn't notice the skeeters until all this damn rain we got over the last 2 weeks.

I have used a THERMACELL for a couple of years now and it WORKS... does not seem to bother the deer and I think they even have earth scented pads for it. It is a proven item and it flat out is the best thing on the market to keep the bugs at bay... Get you one and good luck

Thermacell's definately work - don't know that they are "prooven" to not spook deer, however, I would say they would be better than constantly moving to swat mosquitos away.

I do mosquito control work for a living. Unless you have an airplane loaded with Trumpet insecticide, get yourself a Thermacell and a bugtamer jacket.

THERMACELL!!!!! They DO have earth scent patches! I have never been busted while using them. If you believe in those HS earth scent wafers for a cover scent than this is what you get with the thermacell

Thanks for the info. Where can you buy them? I did get ate up trying not to move while a doe was grazing.

Wal-Mart? Pretty sure that's where I've gotten them before.

Dick's sporting goods has them and any sport shop should.. Not too sure about Walmart but I would call first.

Walmart down here in Cambridge carries them, as do most outdoor stores in the area.
