Talked to my step dad, deer season not over until tommorrow in mississippi blackpowder i think boy wish i was back home sometimes..

I was mentaly ready for a break. Could only drag myself out one more time to squirrel hunt. Besides I'd be pissed if i shot a big doe that turned out to be a buck who already shed. Happened to me two or three years ago during the two day shotgun in Jan.

my office mate just came back from Mississippi and he said on the base down there the deer are everywhere and real small and scraggly.. they do not control hunt on base so the deer are everywhere and there is not enough food for them so they are not real healthy. what a waste

yeah been really bad since katrina with the whole not enough food thing my stepdad has 160 acres and lost more oak trees than you could count there wasnt an overabundance of them to start with..

that sucks... too bad, my office mate said there are deer everywhere down there but they were all real small..

Tomorrow marks the first time in 5 months that I will not be waking up before dawn to go hunting. I am sure going to miss it!!!!

well i have to get on the road at 2 am monday to go for the snow geese. i can't freaking wait.. i am sure i will not be able to sleep sunday night...
