Took off yesterday to hunt and saw nothing, other than a grey fox and 3,987 tree rats.
Get to work this morning at about 0600.Walking back to the office at about 0710 to grab another cup of coffee,I see antlers coming out of the woods about 70 yards away.I kind of hide in the doorway.
Followed by more antlers. They drop behind a berm, and then a doe pops up in front of them ,and starts coming closer. She gets close enough that I see she is not a she,but in fact,a he: 3" spikes.Cool,I think,3 bucks.
They drop back out of sight, and start heading parallel to me.Once they cross about a 10 yd break,I figure I can get back to the shop, run to the other end,and see them out the window at 10 yds!
They cross,and I start out.Oops! Here comes buck # 4! Then,numbers 5,6,and 7!
Once they get out of sight,I start across, only to have deer number 8 (don't know what it was) see me,and spook, pulling the rest back, and into the woods single file!
Now granted, only the first deer was even a marginal shooter (8 pt,maybe 16"). One other 6,and the rest were forks and spikes.
But, DAMN!
I've seen 3 bucks together a few times,and 4 once before early on,late summer/early fall.But,DAMN!

Thats really cool. I guess the bucks have found each other again and are in bachelor groups. Strength in numbers I guess. They should stay that way till next October. Oh how I dream of the RUT. Can you hunt near there or are they in a secured facility? Either way, neat story.
