does anybody actually see a difference in feeder height??

I put mine as high as the tripod can go. But this year filled it once and opted to dump corn on the ground so I didn't have to mess with batteries. I do know the higher the feeder the farther it spreads corn.

I bought a Moultrie feeder at Walmart for $100 this past fall. It has a 200 lb. capacity and the bottom of the feeder sits about 5' off the ground. It throws the corn about 20' out or more, that seems to be plenty far enough for me. You could adjust your height until you get the distance your after. More height equals more distance.
