well ok guys, no one wants to play i thought it would be cool if everyone told me it was a sika deer so i could tell you were i seen this deer. well here goes i was driving down the road while working and talking to my dad on the phone and i said dad i see a sika hind standing on the side of the road , he said there are no deer in harford county i said well hang up im turning around , when i pulled up beside her she was 10 ft away from my car she did that bounce that they do up the hill to about 25 ft and that is were i took this pic , notice the tail so its not a fawn and i have seen and taken sika so this is 100% sika in harford county , i think the guys that own the land hunt in a huge lease on the eastern shore maybe they found a fawn and brought it back or they traped a few i dont know

Could be a sika or a fallow deer. Definitely not a whitetail.

It's looks like a sika to me, just something not quite right about it. That far north I'm thinking maybe an escapee from a farm in PA, one of the other strains of sika that get bigger than ours down here.
I seem to remember from grad school up that way going to a small zoo/farm somewhere along 95 that had a lot of wild animals like deer and stuff, maybe somthing got out of there. That was early/mid 90's though, not sure if that place is still around.

No one knew anything about them, but looks like SOMEBODY has quite the collection of critters up that way.
