Having a great two days, deer are dropping! Sunday morning shot a button buck/short spike to fill an antlerless tag, then tonight shot a nice 7 point to fill the first buck tag! The 7 was at home in a stand site we've had for years, my Dad normally hunts it but I sat it tonight for a change of pace. Ten after five PM I saw something coming my way, then saw rack, and he was on a trail that would put him broadside at 15 yards. Grunted to stop him, shot and dropped him in the trail. I remember thinking before this season that I'd never dropped a whitetail with a spine shot, but for some reason this season my black powder buck, the button yesterday and the 7 today all hit the spine and made for zero distance track jobs (which is darn nice, by the way). Trying to figure out if I'm shooting high or the deer are dropping, the bow kills have been pretty close range. Try to get some pics in the morning...

Congrats Dave! I killed one that looked alot like that during early ML. Been leaving them rest until youth day, one nice buck running around. But so are some trespassing %$%^$##s on 4 wheelers!
