Yeah but the body seems kind of big and the ears are huge. Still pretty cool looking deer.

Looks like a normal whitetail fawn to me, you're just getting too used to tiny sika deer!
We've been seeing a lot more stags on the roadsides at night this week at work, when we get through this little warm spell and the full moon wanes off it should start to get right for sika hunting!

That is good to hear.. need that temperature to drop. Going to head over again on Saturday and sit all day to see if I can get a stag or a whitetail to show up to the pile of apples and peaches I left there yesterday. I hope to have some better pictures this weekend of some of the bigger stags since I moved the apples closer to the camera. Should be a great rut this year. To bad I will miss some of it with my pursuit of a giant Mule deer in 3 weeks.
