ok so i managed to bag a canvasback today and would like to get it mounted. I am looking for opinions as to which was to get it mounted. Flying, landing, standing.............what so you all think? I currently have a northern shoveler at the taxidermist and it will be a flying mount soo what do you think would be the best option? Attachments:

I know this isn't much help but I don't think you can go wrong with either. Canvasbacks look good no matter what. My buddy has a pair mounted that are cupped and committed, they look good. I think standing or swimming would be the best.

Nice bird. The cans have def moved in the area and quick too. Went from last week not seeing but a few..this morning i guess we counted about 4 to 5 hundred. not seeing many blackheads tho.... Just to give ya an idea of what the flying mount will roughly look like..not the best picture in the world but u get the idea.

No, that comment was directed toward harryjaxx. We had an awesome hunt years ago and I didn't know if the bird was from that hunt.

I'd go with flying. Then again I pretty much like all my birds this way. Shows off more the bird IMO.

Not from that particular hunt. However, it was taken in the patuxent river. That was a damn good hunt, cans and geese if I recall. Remi earned her dinner that day. (Great hunting dog)
