Ive noticed in the last week several rubs and alot of scrapes . The seek phase of the rut is almost here. I like this time better than the rut you can still pattern the big one's.

Seek phase is also my favorite. Last week of October can be action packed. Not too much longer now.

I have see smaller bucks this week tailing does so I put out a snet bomb just to see wedensday morning had a big bodied six pointer pop up and bed right in front of the stand I just didn't have the hart he is going to be some body in two years if he makes it. when he got up he got down wind and went bananas! i was cool to see him rub and scape he hung out for at least and hour before he scared him self and ran off I wish I had the camera I got more My buddy saw a monster last night tailing does in the field gave him five shots with the smoke pole and the gun wouldn't go off needless to say he sounded like he was going to shoot him self last night. So i think it is really close now

I'm the same way...Let the young bucks pass to hopefully live another year or two. I don't like to take a buck until I think its near its prime, or a wall hanger.

Gotta let the little ones go!! Otherwise they will never get big. It is important, however, to take those deer that are genetically inferior. This prevents them from breeding and spreading the seed.

I got a roll of film from this past weekend, the big 8 point whitetail in my woods has made a scrape next to the corn pile. Two pics of him working that, but none of him feeding on the pile this week. Definitely starting to switch their interests!
