This morning was the first day I could get out. Chilly and calm, awesome weather. Had a doe RUN in and stop at my corn at 7:30. Watched her for two or three minutes until she offered a good broadside shot. Double lung hit,ran 30 yards. I've been waiting for this feeling since last January. Definitely worth the wait. Freezer will be full again. Date in picture is wrong due to leap year it was 9/21/06(today)

I hope the weather stays cold. Nothing like sitting in your stand with the cool crisp air and leaves. Makes it easier to hear too.

When I went to track this doe I walked to where I heard her thrashing around. I saw a white tail running away from me. I immediatly assumed I put a bad shot on her and started looking for blood. I found her right there where I thought she was and realized it was another deer running away altogether. Went out friday afternoon and watched a doe and spike at 20 yards for about 40 minutes. Fun, but I was waiting for something A LOT bigger.
