I've seen an extra amount of dead deer on the side of the road. I've noticed 5 or 6 today alone. Any idea why there being hit. No rut, maybe something to do with birthing? No idea. Happy Hunting!

Maybe they have lost there fear of hunters in the woods. Now they casually walk into the highway before looking both ways. Or could be chasing fawns across the road. Hope the big boys make it till SEPT. 15th.

This thread was started a year ago. I have seen five dead deer today at least. Right around the same time as last year.

They're always real active and restless right around fawning time. Have only seen a few dead ones here, but yesterday morning I was seeing sika EVERYWHERE!! Several herds of 4-6 at a time, a few stags with 2" of growth already.

I heard around this time mothers are pushing last years bucks out of the area. So they are traveling to find new core home ranges.
