Hi all, As i said in the "About yourself" section, I started a profile so I could post things for my dad, David Hamilton. Feel free to send me any messages you'd like me to pass along. Here are some pics of the turkey he killed this past Saturday morning. Killed in Charles County, 23 lbs., 11 inch beard, 1 1/8" spurs.

So i got the story last night, here it is word for word. Enjoy "Saturday morning I heard the bird gobbling around 5:30am, before it was light out. I moved in on him within about a hundred yards. I waited till the sun started to come up before I started calling again. Then I realized it was two birds, they were gobbling real good for me from up in a tree. They flew down out of the tree after about a half hour. I kept calling to them and next thing you know another bird flew in, a hen bird. Then they got together and she led them across the woods away from me, like always. I heard another bird about 400 yards away on another ridge. By the time I got to him he had stopped gobbling, he must've got a hen too. So i sat there about a half hour, letting the woods quiet down. I decided to go back after the birds i heard first. I went back to the same spot, made one call and I heard a bird gobble about 200 yards away, from across the swamp. I figured he still had some hens because he wouldnt fire up. I sat there and waited another half hour before i decided to go down my four wheeler trail in their direction. About 150 yards. I stopped, made a call and the bird gobbled for me. So i set up before I made another call. While I made my second call, he gobbled louder this time and I knew he was coming closer. Took about 10 mins, and then he came in full strut. I took the shot when he was about 40 yards away and I layed him down. I was a happy man. "

Way to go on a nice tom. Your story sounds like every turkey hunt I have been on for the last two years. EXCEPT for actually killing a bird at the end.
