I found this thread on another site. I thought it was something we all could read and take something away from it. I got the guys permission to re-post it here.
"i need to break away from the normal threads to remind us all of whats the most important.i just buried my 18 year old son this saturday.was i too preocupied with my hunting to see signs of the things he was doing?i'm not sure.could i have changed the outcome,i don't know that either.i just wanted to remind everyone as we persue our passion for hunting don't lose focus of the most important gift we have...our kids.don't be afraid to be the mean parent,i can tell you the alternative is much worse.i will miss my son,my friend, and the best caller i have ever been hunting with.give your kids all the attention they need.there are many evils that they grow up with on a daily basis.please please please pay attention.Brandon(my son)was also an avid musician.we have formed THE BRANDON COLE MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND.send donations to brandon cole music scholarship fund care of the peoples bank 166west main street galena md.21635 it will go towards school for a musician our family feels has the same goals as our son.thankyou and god bless you all "
