My pops saw a good flock this weekend at our property in VA. He mentioned some long beards. Sweet!
Anyone else spot some lately?

Brett, I hear what you are saying. The only reason I usaully go is because of my best friend who likes taking me to increase his time in the woods. I just prefer fishing this time of year and i can only fish/hunt on saturdays so i usally fish .

Got a phone call from a buddy yesterday. He said there were 8 in a field adjacent to where I hunt, and 4 in powerline right-of-way where I hunt. Both are on the Eastern Shore. No strutters.

Ok then! I would rather fish than hunt but I don't have a boat so I hunt..... Make sense? If I had a boat I'd be on it fishing for everything. Until then I will kill turkeys!

Luckily I have enough time to make it out in the turkey woods before work....every day at least for the first two weeks. I spend my time fishing on Saturday & Sunday.

My friend has been going to another property he turkey hunts in baden and said thru binoculars this morning he saw a gobbler with a silver band around his leg strutting do they or have they ever banded turkeys? or do you think this is someone's pet? He said it looked like the wild one's he see's just wondering. If it's a pet he really doesn't want to shoot it.

If it is not on a leash and it comes to your call.... shoot it. If it is a pet.... their fault!

We have been sick since he flew the coop. Just give me directions to find him and I will go to pick him up in the morning of April 19th. I have a special call he can't resist, he'll come running. Then I'll eat him.....I mean meet him again.

I hope gus has a very bad day the 12th I told him he could borrow it only if he promised me a picture for the site so you could see gus one last time.
