I think my neighbors had one going last night, I could smell the smoke when I took the dog out. Got to near 40 here last night, not enough to kill the skeeters yet. They were fired UP when the sun got up this morning...

My wife doesn't let me light fires till after christmas. I may sneak a few in here and there, but it gets so hot it kills our christmas tree after less than a week. After that I won't turn the heat on till the following year.

New house has gas fireplace, retarded. I am planning on putting a stove in the basement when I finish it. That will be this summer sometime. Check back next year!

Picked up some new pipe for the woodstove at the hunting shack, going to replace one rusty section today, light her up hot to burn off the new smell, then it'll be going for heat on youth weekend - taking my little neighbor hunting buddy down for the full camp experience that weekend.
