as long as you are not shooting in the direction of a house you should be fine.. just make sure you have a good back stop for yoru arrows.. you can shoot your bow at your house anytime you want as long as you are being responsible...
hareciorehunter lives down that way too, he likes to shoot his bow... might want to see if he responds on any publuc places for archery shooting..

Several years ago The deer hunter, Buckmaster and some others were shooting in the deer hunter's backyard and a neighbor called the cops. When the cop stopped by he said as long as the back stop was solid and would stop an arrow they could shoot just about anywhere, but should not shoot towards houses or people. Just be smart about it. I have always shot in my yard and never had a problem with a neighbor. Deer Hunter, please correct me if I am wrong.

You need to check the specific laws for your city, municipality, etc. Some prohibit discharge of a firearm, some word it to say discharge of a weapon, some include bows and some don't - depends on what your local laws say...

Southern Maryland Archers has a great free public range but its in Cheltingham. I can't think of any places in St. Marys. Maybe you could see about shooting on Public land that you hunt? Bring your own target and field points and go to town. I don't see why that would be a problem.
