Was wondering if anyone knew specifics on the new regulation for 07 that requires landowner's children, grandchildren, and children's spouses to obtain a hunting license to hunt the land... I haven't purchased a license in years. Seems to me it's yet another way for the state to collect revenue. Any thoughts

A couple clicks and.... Hunting License Exemption For Children and Grandchildren of Landowners Legislation passed during the 2007 session of the General Assembly modified State law related to who can hunt on a landowner’s property without a hunting license, bow stamp, or muzzleloader stamp. Effective July 1, 2007, the landowner’s adult (age 16 or older) children and grandchildren and the spouses of the children and grandchildren, are exempt from the hunting license, bow stamp and muzzleloader stamp requirement if the child, grandchild, or their spouse: (1) lives on the property; (2) has worked on the property for at least 30 days during the preceding 12-months, or (3) manages the property. Each person must individually qualify under these criteria. See Licenses, Stamps and Permits. Nicklel and dimed to DEATH in this state. And doing everything they can to dissuade kids from field sports.

Looks like they changed it back to the way it was. Too much of an uproar.
