I'm pretty new to the area and new to hunting public land. I'm little apprehensive of the crowds so kayaking in for sika sounds like a blast. Since you can't access BW via boat I'm thinking Fishing Bay or CFL lands. Any advice on specifically hunting via the yak?

To be a little more specific. Is it possible to locate sika w/ a call, get in close with the kayak then get out and put a stalk on one in the marshes? This sounds like my kind of a hunt! Also, will elk calls like the " hoochie mamma" work on sika?

I am definitely no expert. I dont even have a sika under my belt yet (but I have shot one, just could not find it). I know you can call them in because I have done so using the sika seducer by Doug Wigfield (Ad above). As far as the Kayaking thing Osprey has done that before. So it can be done.

Yes, you can kill sika using a kayak to get to them, mainly as a way to reach otherwise inacessible places. Other than that, well, I've learned sometimes just to keep my mouth shut or it comes back to haunt me...
