We needed this thread for bottles, seems like we've got some collectors on the site! Here are two of my favorites, old Mrs. Winslow's Soothing Syrup bottles, 1880's, got several of these from an old marsh dump site on my place that's been washing out over the years.

I have recently packed up all of my bottles to make that room another nursery, I'll have to dig out the good ones to post a few pics. Have a nice pepsi bottle circa 1930? And a few other cool ones. Mrs. Winslow's Soothing Syrup sounds like it may have packed a PUNCH. Forget HUNTING with you Osprey, were going to look for BOTTLES!! LOL

That's the ONLY reason I'm upset my job is starting a month later this year - April is when we're normally in the woods larvaciding and we find all the bottles! Here's another old one, Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhea Remedy. This one still has the cork in it. Got another this size with a different embossing, and one with this same embossing but twice as big. Pretty neat seeing the old medicines and such they used to take.

I like to think about where the bottles have been, who filled them, who used them and how they ended up where they did. If bottles(or any old crap) could talk, the stories they could tell. Now I need to go look for some old stuff before I start bidding on things on ebay! LOL
