Yeah, WAY up the Pax. Had been catching trash last few weeks. It's really picked up lately. Shaping up to be a good September. They usually leave out of where I'm catching (they go downriver and deeper) by mid-Sept, but in '05, I caught them till mid October. Then "other pursuits" took me away.

I went yesterday morning and and come up maybe a dozen short of a bushel in 2 hours. Then it just flat shut down. Still had to weed thru a lot of papershells, but nowhere near as bad as it had been. Lot less folks out there too!

Went out on the Pax Sunday and the crabs were slow but what we got were huge and fat. Biggest crabs I ever caught. All 6 to 8 inches. Took us from 6:30am to 3:00pm to catch a bushel but was worth the time. Alot of crabbers out there, be careful there is a new DNR man on the Pax that is a **** well you know. Even checked the spaceing between the boat numbers and loves to write and write. Held us yesterday for an hour.
