Went out to O.C. and wouldn't you know it, my trip got blown out because of Hurricane Barry. Monday was the day of my trip and the seas were bad. So I rescheduled for next year with the same captain. This will be the 3rd time scheduling. Blown out twice already. Gonna book two days in a row next year, thatway if it blowing hard I might get one day in or the other day in. And if its nice then two days of fishing! I ended up booking a headboat for thursday to go out. The weather, seas, everything was awesome. They said the best weather this year. We caught a ton of black sea bass and had 12 keepers (12 inches or more) between two of us. We both forgot our cameras so no pics. Great time though, only a hundred bucks. I'll put a google pic up as they are cool looking fish. Look almost like a cross between a largemouth, grouper and Jack Dempsey (fish not the fighter) Now I'm looking forward to next year.

That's tough, but I've made it out a few times when we shouldn't have, and that's WORSE! Hope you get two good days in next year, and your arms get sore from reeling!
Sampson, right? He's a good one.

Yeah Mark Sampson, he is booked the entire month of June and I believe that he caught a 300+ pound Mako last week!! That is why I'd rather reschedule with him then to go out with anyone else. Maybe the deer hunter and I will do some inshore shark fishing in August in OC this year!
