Big, brawling striped bass are the targets when the Chesapeake Bay Spring Season opens on Saturday, April 21. Trolling the channels with large, forage-imitating lures is the preferred technique to hook one. But, how and where to find those big stripers takes some knowledge. And, once you find them, getting them to bite your offering is another story. That’s where ‘Striper Saturday’ can help.
Some of the best regional pros and a tackle manufacturer that specialize in striped bass will share their expertise on how to catch our most popular fish, known up and down the Chesapeake Bay as ‘rockfish’. Their tough fighting ability and delicious filets make this fish an All-Star in the Mid-Atlantic. The schedule for the day follows.
