Post up if you hear what the regs are going to be. Latest I've heard is some sort of slot limit for the spring, either 28-35" or 28-37", or one over 42", per person per day. We're taking a heck of a hit after last Spring's over catch on the quota, but a slot like that sounds okay to me. Still worth booking a trip or filling the tanks with gas for a day at least.

All I know of is the starting date - about a week later than last spring. Season opens April 21st. Size & creel limit to be determined. My guess is it's going to be one fish, just don't know how big. My tanks will be filled & ready to go regardless!

Still nothing official, but the latest I've heard is a slot limit as Osprey mentioned. One fish per person for the trophy season, either 28 - 36 inches or over 42 inches. The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission is meeting in mid-March & shortly after that we should have our answer. www.dnr.state.md.us/fisheries/fishingreport/index.asp

If anyone needs to stock up on some trolling gear for the spring, this is a pretty good place. I found this one last year & his prices were the best I was able to find. Shipping doesn't take too long either, since he is located right here in Maryland. www.cnksaltwatertackle.com/home.htmlCan't wait til the 21st! (Hopefully I've limited out on turkey by then ;D)

Geez, now they're saying next Monday. Wish they'd actually do something resembling a decision...

I've been looking & havent seen anything but the proposed size/creel limits. Guess it doesn't really matter much - I'm still going to be out there on the 21st. (Hopefully I've gotten my limit on Turkey by then). I'll be "pulling an Osprey" for the first 3 days of the season. ;D

;D ;D ;D Welcome to the club! Fishing and hunting are TWICE as much fun if you can do it while all your buddies are at work. Most of my friends won't even check their e-mail or answering machines any more during hunting season!!!
