Could be good, but could be very bad. Long overdue, but Virginia has established a market in local restaurants (no big concern), but also Asian and Mexican suppliers. Hopefully they will put a curb on the harvest, but keep it going under control. With the Asian boats already well aware of the cownose migration it will be easy for them to harvest millions of rays due to their schooling methods. They have wiped out the sharks that fed on the migration, so it is just a simple matter of raising their nest to the surface to harvest cownose and leave the sharks unharmed. This will mean great things for the oysters, clams, mussels and our much loved blue claw crab, but not so great for the few strange people that harvest them by stick and string. We need to teach the rays to only eat the Chinese Mitten Crabs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

Good to hear from you Steve. I have heard talks of the commercial harvest for a few years now. I wonder how it will affect the bowfishing?
