We did fairly well. Hunted 2hrs Friday night. Saturday Morning till 1300hrs then Monday. went crabbing Sunday since it was too rough on the ocean side. Here is our 2hrs Friday night. My son with a 40lb cownose (his biggest) Reel EZ with a cownose Me with the biggest southern of the trip. 63lbs. Jarett with his biggest for the trip. 62lbs. Reel EZ with his biggest ever. 62lbs. Total take for the trip was 13 southerns and 5 cownose. High winds made it too rough to go out Saturday night and all day Sunday but it is a wide open ocean right next to you so there is not much you can do.

We saw a few but the wind was pretty bad. This was Reeds first cownose ever. It was AWESOME! Congrats again Reed. 27lbs and some change I believe. Good Times!

Were you going to try and net a southern? I use a gaff so I can can club their head to remove the barb. Sorry to see you did not get any southerns. We got 10 southerns and 1 cownose yesterday. Sam Wood is here working for a few weeks so I took him down on my day off. He just did a ilver carp DVD not long ago. Sam had never hunted rays before. He has shot a bunch of gator gar and said they were nothing compared to the power of a ray. Take for the day Sam's first cownose. 30lbs 14oz 65lb southern

WOW!!! That is awesome. Looks like a great day. We weren't going to net any rays, we had three gafs on hte boat. I was using the net to try to push off the shallows (like three inches of water in some spots) I think netting a ray would be not fun. We'll have to try to hook up next year sometime. The wind the day we went was blowin twenty miles an hour all day, tough day of bowfishing. Where do you launch out of?
