no need for a bow when going carpin' all you need is a good ole' fashioned rod and reel and a can of corn and you're in the carp business... here is a picture of a 10lber I caught about a week or so ago in a creek below my house...biggest one ever take from this spot was almost 40lbs

Heck, you don't even NEED that. I caught one about 20 years ago in the Little Choptank in a crab net whle poling along soft crabbing, only one I've ever seen in the river, bout half again as big as the one you're holding. Stickin 'em with arrows just give these guys a big, ummm, smile.

Nice carp. I like practicing my bow skills but hook and line would be fun too. You eat carp?

Every now and then...but it has to be fixed right or it just tatses god awful nasty...the best way to fix it I think, is to make something similar to a salmon patty out of it or pressure cook it and make a sandwich. ;D... but the thing I would really like to try, is buffalo ribs...I was watching an episode of wild instinct on Vs. (OLN) on tv a while back and they were gill netting big headed carp (buffalo) and then they were taking the ribs out, since they are so big, and leaving what meat is on them then putting them in a batter and frying them up just like the fish itself...sounds good
