I've been out 3 times this year and am yet to see a fish to shoot at! Maybe Friday...I hope. Here are a couple pics from my first trip this year...Just hardcore & buckmaster looking for the fish that weren't there.

That trip was an AM trip. Deer hunter said you couldn't go turkey hunting during the week so you couldn't bowfish either. You didn't miss anything but a rough boat ride. We are going Friday afternoon, the invite is now sent.

Just got back from the first gar trip of the year. Only got 2. Could not go to where I like due to a broken drawbridge. Big one of the day was 44.75" and 9lb 7oz.

Congrats Steve. Nice gar. I'll let you know how we do Friday. And then I'll have to get some gar recipes from you.

THE DEER HUNTER why are the 2 of you not wearing polaroid lenses? You are missing between 90-95% of the fish you would see if you were wearing them. Not wearing a hat with glasses will cost you 25% of the available fish let alone neither. Tons of gar and carp swim 1' or more below the surface that you are not making available to yourself. Amber wraparound lenses are by far the best for the average water clarity. I see allot of my gar a foot before they break, then see them long enough to lead thm on the way down after they break. You will never see a single carp where I normally hunt.

We normally wear them. It was the only thing we forgot. I left mine on the front seat of my van. That probably was the reason we didn't see anything. But on the perfect conditions last year it was like looking into a huge aquarium. Glasses or no glasses. I'll be picking up a new pair of amber tomorrow.

I'm not in the picture, but wear my amber polarized glasses religiously. Hardcore should have his on for tomorrow's shoot as well. I think they were a bit excited for the first trip out and forgot them. Hopefully we'll have some pics up tomorrow. ;D
