I am new to the sport have a bow have a boat just need know how and a little help getting started.. What kind of yardage do I need to worrry about? 20 yards? more or less? Dont know much about it but am sure I would love it... any tips....

If you can deer hunt with a bow then you can bowfish! Not much to it really, you don't have to worry much about distance as much as shoot fish 2 to 3 feet under water. It's a blast and you will love it. We will be going out a lot this summer you'll just have to come out and we will put you on some fish

you have to have a little extra line so when they run they do not pull your bow out of your hand...

I agree with The Deer Hunter 100%!!!!!!!
Go with the second one, it's MUCH, MUCH BETTER! If you have an old bow that you don't mind knocking around on the bow than you will be set!

What the other guys said busco. The best thing to do is go out a give it a try. Borrow a set up to shoot then spend the money. Behind deer hunting its my favorite. This will be my second year so I still know very little myself, but you will be hooked!
