I heard that the Gar are breaking the waters surface. Which is what they do when they spawn. Which is when you bowfish for them. Which means let the fun and sun begin! In case you havn't heard, bowfishing is a great way to stay on your bowhunting game until deer season. Gar, sting ray, carp, and shark are the one's to hunt. A 'reel' blast.

I think I am going to go out Friday after work. If anyone wants to come, send me an email - frank@buckwildadventures.com I saw a whole bunch when I was out this past weekend & can't wait to make those gar's heads feel fuzzy with the tip of my muzzy.

Bowfishing for Garr is great! Sun, Water, Bow and Beer! For anyone who has not tried it, its not that hard and does'nt cost a lot to get into. $15 for an arrow, $15-$60 for a Reel, an old Bow and your Bowfishing....

I am going out Friday afternoon around 5. You have my number, so give me a call if you want to go. It's pretty easy when they are spawning - they just swim around the boat & you pick & shoot.

No luck this past Friday, though I did see 1. The water was pretty muddy & the wind was blowing, so it made it pretty hard to see. I'll probably go out & try again this Friday. Hopefully it will be better.
