Osprey, I was not expecting a peep on saturday with all the snow, but let me tell you they were fired up..Many double gobbles and some fighting gobbles, didn't need to try to shock gobble them. We walked the evening roost, and heard nothing on Friday. Go figure?

Maybe the snow was enough to shock them into gobbling???

Well there I was this morning, standing in the middle of a field when the sun was coming up. Shirt and tie and dress shoes in the middle of an overgrown field. Then I heard it, a gobble in the distance, followed by another. I turned around and smiled the whole way back to my car.

Missed it yesterday, but was back out there today. Calm, frosty, was still in the Jeep with the radio on low and the windows down when I heard - GOBBLE-OBBLE-OBBLE!!! Got out and pinpointed that one, then hit several more spots nearby as day was breaking. Located at least 4 different (groups??) birds. ;D
Happy Happy Joy Joy, it's almost turkey time!! ;D ;D ;D
By the way, I was able to translate one of those birds, he was saying "I'm right here Fox, come and get me if you can"...

Have not been out in the morning, but yesterday was near Salisbury Md. building a nice box blind for next years deer season and across the street watched four gobblers and six hens putting on a great show. Two weeks prior to that my brother and I stopped and counted THIRTY turkey's in the same area.

If you can hunt that land, sounds like the place to be!
