Been out in the 3rd split a few times and had a couple of the best puddle ducks hunts of my life. Hunted with a couple of great guys and in 2 different hunts we have made it back to the ramp with a limit of birds. Saturday the 20th brought in Gad walls, shovelers and a ring neck and Friday the 26th brought in Gad walls, a couple shovelers, and an ole squaw. Great hunts with good friends, great dog work by 2 different dogs and of course breakfast was nice too... Attachments:

In my last 2 hunts I haven't even reached for the gun. Funny how the hunting can be so different just across the bay.

Yeah we hunted this past weekend and hoped for the best. Put out a fairly big diver spread and could not buy a diver duck. We did scratch out 4 black ducks and 2 mallards but that was over diver decoys... WEIRD

At least you're killing something, it's quiet as a tomb over here. And now we've got ice, too, so it isn't getting better anytime soon...
