Anyone been out? Went out Saturday, opening day, and MAN was it crouded out there!
Ended up with 4 fish, 35 to 37 inches. Seemed to be hitting close to the surface. All the fish we caught had already spawned, so it won't last too much longer.

We're going on our annual trip tomorrow, hoping for an early bite in the rain...

Had our 8 fish in about two hours this morning, all 30-35 inch class. Didn't get too rough and only had a sprinkle of rain, had a great morning!
Most of the fish were just in from the ocean, too, sea lice still dropping off them, so they should be here for a while yet.

Sounds like you got your wish - an early bite. ;D
Suprised about the lice - none of the ones I caught had it & all were done with their spawn.

Our captain said he's been running about half and half so far. I'm guessing fish that wintered in the Bay caught the warm temps and spawned early, while ocean fish coming into the Bay didn't get the temperature flucuations this winter, ocean waters are usually pretty constant on temps.
