Been sitting outside the last 1/2 hour, listening to THREE gobblers firing off back and forth!
Heard one gobble twice Monday evening at fly up, and saw one strutting in Charles county Saturday, but these guys are getting serious!
Of corse, it's getting GREEN and THICK pretty fast too!

My family and I were walking about a mile in on the rail trail in white plains. My oldest stood up on the wooden rails and howled. This Turkey fired off! He got that bird to gobble at least a dozen times! It was so cool!

I heard 'em going off the last two weeks of deer season, during February I heard what sounded like 100's going off on the river while I was in the duck blind....never heard anything like that before. It was crazy.
Last month my buddies wife saw a flock of at least 40 turkeys in a field near their house...she thought it was a flock of Canada's until she realized they had redheads and beards. lol. They saw that group twice.
they are definitely moving early with these warm temps... it's gonna be a great season

yes they are fired up.. i went to listen this morning and heard an easy 50+ in about 15 minutes between 3,4 or 5 birds. I left after I pinpointed where the closest few are at, and Im going to setup between 2 later this week and see which way they want to go. No calling... just listening. After that Ill set up on that side of the roost for youth day this saturday. Hopefully it comes together, Ive never scouted this much... but it helps a lot to know there direction of travel. good luck!

Good luck to you hunteveryday and I hope you can live up to your name cause I know I sure would love to! Taking two boys out for youth day with another guy. I have no time to scout but i can get close to some birds quickly if I hear them gobbling!
